In a year of Giving and Growing
Young people from abroad, mostly from Western Europe, come for a Social Year, Civil Service or a Gap Year. They work alongside young Israeli volunteers in their pre-army Social year or Civil Service
Creating a home for life
Foster Families with their children, living and working with the villagers and the young co-workers in the long run.

Together we
in Agriculture and workshops
When the villagers clean their rooms, help prepare the meals, work in agriculture or in the workshops, they improve their skills and become vital partners in production and services as well as in the social life of our community. The villagers work together with the staff in agriculture and gardening, bees wax canlel making, paper recycling, bakery, food processing, weavery, laundry and cooking.
In a variety of therapies
Many therapies through which the villagers can walk their individual path, develop and fulfill their potential are offered in the village. According to the need and ability, villagers can partake in art therapy, speech formation, rhythmical massage, curative eurhythmy, music and horse riding therapy, animal therapy and chinese medicine.
Cultural Life
All community members enjoy rich and varies cultural life, We try to actively create culture and not only passively consuming it. It show lskjdhflsjfhslkdfjshlf in addition, the villagers take part in outings in nature and to town.

Among Ben-Gurion award winner for 2020 - Kfar Rafael
From the ceremony:
“Every year the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is bestowing the Ben-Gurion Award honoring individuals who have made a unique significant contribution in the spirit of David Ben-Gurion. It is given on the death day of the first prime minister in the fields of science, community, economics, culture, environment and education”
The award is given to Kfar Rafael founders who have established e unique curative community in the heart of the Negev. They are given the award with gratitude for the deep dedication for promoting a varied, open and tolerant society that gives a true opportunity for every man and woman”

Musical summer fruits of our orchestra, ensamble and choir
“Gloria” from Misa Criolla performed by 2 sopran singers, choir and orchestra, “The hidden garden in my heart” a Gujarati (Indian) melody with Hebrew lyrics accompanied by the villagers ensamble, and an arrangement of “sheep may safely graze” from cantata 208 by J. S. Bach performed by the villagers orchestra, staff abd children. Metalophones, chilmes, recoder, melodica, violin, cello, two flutes, six bordun lyres and piano. Over a year of practicing. Enjoy listening!
